CALLA started in 2019 with four rooms above a bakery on Ossington. Mira had spent ten years renting a chair in other people’s salons and wanted a room where the hour belonged to the guest instead of the schedule.
That is still the whole idea. One guest per practitioner per hour. No double booking, no treatment that starts fifteen minutes late because the room before ran over, no list of add-ons produced halfway through.
The Montreal studio opened in 2023 and runs the same way. Six practitioners across the two rooms, all of them on salary rather than commission, which is why nobody here has a reason to sell you anything.
